The first day at a new school can be daunting...
unfamiliar hallways, everyone is a stranger and so many unknowns but Benji Finley quickly bonds with his new teacher and his classmates at Vista Bluffs Junior High. He makes friends with a cute girl at lunch and is invited to sit with her friends. Everything is going great until the local bully starts a fight with Benji, landing them both in the Principal’s office. Not exactly a smooth start he was hoping for, but a strange discovery soon makes this the most important year of young Benji's life...

According to the CDC, 1 in 68 people are diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) in America but there is very little entertainment content featuring openly autistic protagonists and subject matter. Spectrum Stories is here to change that with The Spectrum Heroes book series.
The Spectrum Heroes:
1. Showcase these amazing characters in a non-judgmental or diminished light. Readers will not need to be affiliated with Autism in any way to enjoy the story or be positively affected by the subtle message of tolerance & inclusion.
2. Empower readers who are on the ASD spectrum by creating characters and situations they can identify with.
3. Offer scaled readers so anyone at any reading level can enjoy the Spectrum Heroes adventures.
4. Give Back. 10% of our profits will be used to support the vastly underserved adult ASD population.
